Midway through the tour, we stop at the Valley River & Tunnel.

At this point in the journey, the memory-making is up to you.

You’ll have about a half hour to explore the historic, hand-carved Valley River Tunnel, wade in the clear Valley River, or picnic at the tables we provide along the river.

Family reunions, honeymoon adventures, ghost & Sasquatch storytelling, fiddle-playing, singing with a ukelele…

We’ve even had a couple of marriage proposals here.

Don’t forget to have your camera ready for the trip to the Historic Valley River Tunnel. Here, at our Midway Stop, you’ll see crystal-clear mountain rivers and streams as you cross the final open deck railroad trestle on your trip to the tunnel. At the destination, you will disembark for about 30 minutes to walk through the tunnel, have a picnic, or wade in the Valley River.

We welcome you to explore, take photos, and visit other passengers and our crew. You may want to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at our provided tables.
